Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive procurement and commercial purchasing for materials and services as the procurement and commercial lead.
  • •Lead and administer competitive bidding processes, including RFP/quotation/information requests, bid analysis, and risk evaluations.
  • •Evaluate and select suppliers based on procurement policy, quality of supply, cost savings objectives, budgetary requirements, and market analysis.
  • •Develop and execute procurement sourcing strategies (including environmental, engineering, and permitting services) and coordinate local US efforts with global procurement teams.
  • •Negotiate and award large construction contracts and supplier agreements in collaboration with internal/external legal counsel, while minimizing operational, legal, and financial risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics or a relevant field plus at least 5 years of applicable experience.
  • •At least 5 years of supply management experience, including conducting RFPs, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing supplier relationships, quality, and KPIs.
  • •Experience performing economic evaluation for procurement of equipment and construction services.
  • •Knowledge of supply chain methodologies, models, practices, and procedures.
  • •Working knowledge of the global market for electrical equipment and materials, with a proven record negotiating contracts with global OEMs; experience in transmission and generation projects.
