Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical/hydraulic issues across multiple truck systems using test instruments.
  • •Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain company-issued service truck, including safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and complete DOT forms in a timely manner, uploading required photos and details using iOS/TRAIT and Repair Orders (RO).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternative combination such as a higher degree/certification or 5 years of experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Successful completion of DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a DOT medical card with enough remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
