Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee planning, design, implementation, and optimization of underground infrastructure systems supporting mine development and operations.
  • •Provide technical leadership for underground electrical distribution, utilities, and power distribution planning, including load center placement and feeder routing.
  • •Lead pastefill systems: coordinate paste delivery, monitor compliance, maintain paste records and models, and improve paste characteristics.
  • •Drive infrastructure capital projects from concept through commissioning and operational handover, including scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop Mine Services engineers and technicians, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field, or relevant experience.
  • •7+ years of underground mining experience with responsibility for mine infrastructure and utility systems.
  • •Proficiency in Deswik, Backfill Pro, and Microsoft Suite.
  • •Strong understanding of underground electrical distribution systems and underground mine utility infrastructure.
  • •Experience with instrumentation, telemetry, automated monitoring systems, and project/contractor execution with budget control.
