Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair onboard electrical, electronic, automation, and instrumentation systems for a Cutter Suction Dredger. Ensure reliable power generation and distribution for dredging and propulsion auxiliaries, execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs under the PMS, and diagnose faults across PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, generators, motors, sensors, and control systems. Keep detailed maintenance and calibration records, support compliance, apply PTW/LOTO procedures, and provide technical guidance during maintenance and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and instrumentation systems onboard the Cutter Suction Dredger.
•Ensure safe and reliable operation of power generation, power distribution, dredging electrical systems, propulsion auxiliaries, and vessel automation.
•Perform planned preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
•Diagnose and rectify faults on PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, switchboards, generators, motors, sensors, alarms, and control systems.
•Maintain records and ensure compliance with ISM Code, Class, Flag State requirements, company procedures, and electrical safety regulations, applying PTW and LOTO before maintenance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics & Automation Engineering.
•5-10 years' experience on Dredger or in heavy industries with automation.
•Basic STCW training certification with a medical fitness certificate.
