Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately locate and mark company facilities, including transmission & distribution systems and service lines, to prevent damage.
  • •Read and interpret system maps and work with crews and outside contractors to re-mark when needed.
  • •Conduct investigations of natural gas facility damages to determine root causes.
  • •Maintain accurate maps, records, and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED plus two years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention activities, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
  • •Must obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training/certifications within six months.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Ability to communicate, persuade, and/or influence internal and external customers with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Ability to use the company’s internet/intranet, take and upload digital photos of marking activity, and use available systems for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
