Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform daily rounds and examinations in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and normal newborn nursery.
  • •Provide inpatient care for newborn patients and attend difficult deliveries, including cesarean sections.
  • •Order laboratory examinations and X-rays, determine diagnoses, and prescribe nursing and dietary care; apply preventive measures as required.
  • •Act as a consultant in neonatology, providing consultative services to other medical services and technical assistance with pediatric patients, including admission eligibility assessment.
  • •Review relevant medical journals and texts to remain current on the latest neonatal intensive care techniques and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified and licensed Medical Practitioner.
  • •At least 3-5 years’ post qualification experience at consultant level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Consultant level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Ability to deliver professional, ethical clinical services in line with clinical governance and quality management standards.
