Job Summary

Assemble and fabricate mechanical parts and products in a manufacturing environment by reading and following blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and bills of materials. Use welding equipment (including welder, torch, and plasma) and handheld tools to build to required tolerances. Perform quality checks, rework/repair welded parts when needed, maintain weld machines with preventative maintenance, and communicate effectively with management to keep workflow moving.

Key Responsibilities

•Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and bills of materials to create equipment and products.
•Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and products using welding equipment including welder, torch, and plasma.
•Operate handheld tools and measuring equipment such as grinders, band saws, torches, calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures.
•Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
•Perform quality work checks and rework/repair welded parts according to engineering specification changes, while communicating with management to prioritize workflow.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•At least 4 years of experience (preferred).
•Read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and bills of materials.
•Prefer stick, MIG, and TIG welding experience.
•Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
