Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the global category strategy for fabricated metal, metal assembly, injection molding, finishing/coatings, and fasteners/hardware.
  • •Own supplier strategy: identify candidates, build landed-cost business cases, qualify suppliers, and manage supplier transfers.
  • •Lead supplier selection, qualification, and ongoing performance via scorecards/business reviews; maintain the approved vendor list recommendation with Manufacturing Quality.
  • •Negotiate piece price, tooling, NRE, agreements, and payment terms to reduce total cost of ownership, maintaining a rolling cost-down roadmap.
  • •Build should-cost models and index-based pricing; own the tooling asset register and coordinate with Mechanical Engineering and contract manufacturing in Guadalajara.

Salary: TWD 2,000,000 - 2,450,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, business, or a related field.
  • •7–10 years of commodity management or sourcing experience for fabricated metal and/or plastics at a hardware product company or contract manufacturer.
  • •Deep process knowledge in at least two of: stamping/die tooling, CNC machining, tube fabrication/welding, injection molding/mold tooling, or finishing/coatings.
  • •Strong ownership of a tooling portfolio, including tool builds, capital approvals, capacity/cavitation decisions, and tool transfers between suppliers.
  • •Ability to build bottom-up should-cost models and negotiate against them, including index-linked pricing structures.
