Job Summary

Design, implement, and maintain the Distributed Energy Management System (DERMS) for Ameren’s hybrid cloud/on-premise grid environment. Collaborate with Digital and Operations teams to integrate DERMS with enterprise tech, ensure high availability, and deliver continuous improvements for grid optimization and resource integration.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and test a Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) across a hybrid cloud/on-premise, container-based architecture.
•Support system implementation activities, including configuration and environment setup across cloud and on-prem environments.
•Support system integration with enterprise and operational technologies, ensuring alignment with utility architecture and compliance requirements.
•Partner with internal business units and external vendors to implement DERMS use cases that enable distributed energy resource integration and grid optimization.
•Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design artifacts, runbooks, and SOPs.

Salary: USD 84,400 - 204,400

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science
•Three or more years of directly related experience
•Experience with Electric Power Distribution systems and applications (e.g., ADMS, Outage Analysis, SCADA, GIS) and relational databases
•Experience with software development, relational databases, and server/network infrastructure
•Ability to support 24x7x365 availability and provide off-hours support as needed
