Job Summary

Lead AECOM’s municipal drinking water consulting team in the GTA as a player-coach technical leader. Own QA/QC and safety review of plant designs and deliverables, guide a team of 10 through project delivery and mentorship, and manage performance and financial health of the portfolio. Drive strategic growth via business development, proposal and capture strategy, and maintain key client relationships while providing senior oversight of water treatment processes.

•Develop and grow a balanced team aligned to the strategic plan, including recruitment and succession planning.
•Oversee operations: team dynamics, performance evaluations, staff management, and financial health of the water portfolio.
•Drive business development by collaborating on pursuits, leading technical proposals and capture strategies within allocated budgets.
•Manage client relationships with key GTA municipalities and coordinate effectively across stakeholders.
•Lead complex multi-disciplinary projects from design through construction, ensuring compliance with Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act and regulatory design guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 150,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
•8+ years of progressive experience designing and constructing municipal drinking water treatment plants.
•Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or transferable within 6 months.
•Proven track record managing technical teams and delivering projects.
•Preferred: 15+ years of experience in municipal drinking water treatment plant design and construction and progressive project management experience (PMP is an asset).
