Job Summary

Deliver state-certified middle school CTE instruction in an online environment for Arkansas Virtual Academy, creating synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences and personalizing instruction based on student mastery. Monitor progress through K12’s learning management system, maintain accurate grade records, communicate regularly with families and learning coaches, and support post-secondary planning using online tools. Serve as an advisor for CTSO and help build business/industry partnerships to support work-based learning, with limited travel for professional development and testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences in a virtual classroom.
•Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and personalize learning.
•Maintain grade book, make placement/promotion decisions, and alert administrators to concerns about progress.
•Communicate regularly with students and learning coaches/parents and troubleshoot curricular/instructional issues.
•Prepare students for standardized tests, administer/proctor certification assessments where applicable, and advise CTSO; support CTE partnerships for work-based learning.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree AND an active state teaching license.
•Appropriate and current Arkansas Department of Education Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Computer Science, or Technical teaching licensure.
•Must reside in Arkansas.
•Ability to clear required background check.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
