Key Responsibilities

  • •Teach courses across levels in medicinal chemistry topics, delivering lectures and seminars to meet the School’s teaching objectives.
  • •Contribute to module design with colleagues and plan/prepare teaching (guidance notes and handouts) aligned to programme objectives.
  • •Deliver learning activities including workshops, practicals, and student assessment (including marking and examining) as part of validated summative assessment.
  • •Devise and supervise projects, student dissertations, and practical work, and support activities such as OSCEs and interviews.
  • •Maintain subject expertise, undertake professional development in teaching, and contribute to teaching-related administration, supervision, and knowledge transfer.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 36,636 - 48,822 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Higher degree relevant to the research or teaching area; a specialism in Chemistry Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science would be advantageous.
  • •High level analytical capability.
  • •Ability to teach a range of undergraduate medicinal chemistry topics to undergraduate pharmacy students, including organic and analytical chemistry areas.
