Job Summary

Design and develop battery, charger, and power-supply components for Motorola's two-way communication devices from concept to mass production. Create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform tolerance analyses and DFMEA, manage BOMs, support prototypes, run verification tests, and prepare prints, qualification reports, and user documentation for customers and manufacturing teams.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Be involved in the product development activities from the conceptual stage to mass production, including meeting customer requirements and safety guidelines
•Use 3D modeling and surfacing CAD software to design new products and generate 2D drawings per mechanical drafting standards
•Perform mechanical tolerance analysis and DFMEA, and set up/maintain bill of materials
•Support prototype/pilot builds and conduct mechanical verification tests
•Release mechanical prints and parts qualification reports, and compile information for user manuals or instruction sheets

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
•3-5 years of working experience in related field
•Analytical and problem-solving skills
•Knowledge of material properties (sheet metal and plastic) and assembly processes (SMT, plastic ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, low pressure molding)
•Proficiency with Creo Parametric 3D software and plastic tooling constructions
