Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to Transmission and Distribution projects from concept through High Voltage Power Systems Analysis, cabling, substations, and interconnectors including overseas links.
  • •Support grid modernisation efforts and design/consenting work for major infrastructure programs (e.g., UK National Grid initiatives).
  • •Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors, explaining technical issues and capturing feedback.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust electrical designs and technical documentation.
  • •Engage in client interaction and provide design consultancy throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng)
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors
  • •Ability to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
