Key Responsibilities

  • •Design engineering solution portions for manufacturing parts, component sub-assemblies, and final assemblies using established principles and provided specifications.
  • •Implement time standards, production area layouts, and tooling/process requirements for subsystems and portions of new products.
  • •Develop cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
  • •Develop and review key indicators to measure factory performance and provide recommendations to factory management.
  • •Collaborate with internal and outsourced manufacturing/development partners on processes, standards, compliance, and manufacturing issues; coordinate problem resolution and contribute to project teams for manufacturing solutions across the lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or commensurate work experience.
  • •Typically 2-4 years of work experience in engineering design and solutions or a related field (or an advanced degree with little or no work experience).
  • •Experience designing manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies based on engineering principles and specifications.
  • •Ability to develop time standards, production area layouts, tooling/process requirements, and capacity models.
  • •Ability to analyze factory performance indicators and provide recommendations, including written current-state analysis and reports.
