Job Summary

Repair and maintain heavy construction equipment and mechanical systems, including trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems. Troubleshoot problems, dismantle devices to replace defective parts, service vehicles with oil changes and preventative maintenance, and repair electrical/hydraulic systems and diesel/gas engines. Order parts and maintain purchase orders and invoices while keeping the work area clean and following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot equipment problems and make economical, durable repairs.
•Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
•Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment, including scheduled preventive maintenance.
•Service vehicles and equipment (oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters) and test performance by starting devices.
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical/hydraulic systems and mechanical components; order parts and maintain purchase orders/invoices; weld broken parts and keep the work area organized.
