Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert guidance throughout the planning, design, and delivery phases, focusing on civil design and construction and compliance with codes and standards.
  • •Oversee civil design and construction activities, including reviewing designs, submittals, and testing procedures against project specifications.
  • •Conduct Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews for renovations, alterations, maintenance, and new construction work.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years applying engineering principles in airfield pavement structural design and civil/site development/construction/airport engineering.
  • •Demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • •Over 7 years of experience in civil/site development, construction, and airport engineering with a focus on airfield pavement structural design and specialized engineering principles.
  • •Solid understanding of traffic, geotechnical, and municipal engineering practices.
  • •Experience applying Canadian aerodrome standards (TP312 4th and 5th editions) and international standards such as ICAO and FAA for design reviews and solution development.
