Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee input, peer review, verification, and design calculations for geotechnical data.
  • •Provide consultative advice to external partners across feasibility, site selection/optioneering, design, and construction.
  • •Manage or oversee geotechnical projects by planning schedules, coordinating activities, and meeting programme and budget objectives.
  • •Provide leadership and support to the Ground Engineering team to deliver projects to client and internal partners on time and to quality expectations.
  • •Lead business development by maintaining industry presence, building customer relationships, mentoring junior team members, and taking the Ground Engineering lead for multidisciplinary delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology (2:1 or equivalent) or higher.
  • •An MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (advantage).
  • •Chartered status.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of current geotechnical design codes, standards, and best practices, plus the ability to collaborate and build stakeholder relationships.
