Job Summary

Lead vehicle-level integration and configuration design for prototype aircraft within the Special Programs rapid-prototyping team. Own integration and design standards across vehicle-level work, support end-to-end concept-to-prototype development, and perform technical feasibility assessments for emerging concepts and requirements. Produce technical documentation, trade studies, and analysis packages for design reviews and opportunity decisions, collaborating across cross-functional engineering and (as needed) government stakeholder discussions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead vehicle-level integration and configuration design, including overall configuration layout, packaging, and cross-discipline interface management.
•Support rapid prototyping end-to-end, from concept configuration through detailed integration, build support, and test.
•Own integration and design discipline within Special Programs by setting technical approach, standards, and integration methods.
•Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new opportunities, evaluating viability of emerging concepts, RFPs, and mission requirements.
•Produce technical documentation, trade studies, and analysis packages supporting design maturity reviews and opportunity/capture decisions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 138,200 - 190,100

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree a plus).
•Demonstrated experience in vehicle-level configuration design and cross-discipline integration for aerospace platforms.
•Familiarity with interface control, configuration management, and whole-vehicle trade studies.
•Ability to work across the full development lifecycle from concept through prototype in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
•8–12 years of relevant engineering experience (or equivalent experience in rapid-prototyping / advanced-programs environments), and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
