Job Summary

Support Configuration Management (CM) and engineering change processes for development and in-service support programs, helping establish and maintain product baselines and the traceability of configuration item changes. Serve as the primary CM contact, coordinating release activities, leading configuration control/change boards, performing audits, and driving CM process improvements, metrics, and tool adoption across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Support configuration management (CM) and engineering management change processes while maintaining lifecycle accuracy and visibility of configuration items.
•Coordinate and control the release of products and chair/lead configuration control/change boards (CCBs).
•Champion CM process improvements, tools, and the establishment of KPIs and metrics.
•Identify and resolve technical data baseline discrepancies and gaps, including performing configuration audits and communicating outcomes to affected groups.
•Evaluate and organize configuration item (CI) data of multiple types and volumes, proactively resolving issues and liaising with project teams and customers.

Key Requirements

•Post-secondary degree/diploma from a recognized institution.
•3 years work experience as a Configuration Management Specialist.
•Strong understanding of technical design change management principles and the ability to support CM and engineering change processes.
•Proven problem solving, analytic skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Knowledge of configuration management standards EIA-649 and/or ISO100007, plus proficiency performing configuration verifications and audits and working with PLM tools.
