Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform inspections, operations, and maintenance of wind turbine equipment.
  • •Identify when equipment/machinery is outside normal operating limits and document adverse conditions and malfunctions.
  • •Follow health and safety procedures, including isolating hazardous energy sources prior to work (e.g., lockout-tagout).
  • •Maintain records of work performed with precise measurements and ensure safety procedures are completed.
  • •Support preventive and predictive maintenance; assist with corrective maintenance when trained or supervised, and assist with warranty claim investigation and call-outs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with three years of relevant wind experience, OR an associate degree in a relevant field or a Wind Certificate with one year of relevant wind experience.
  • •Experience with AC and DC electrical systems.
  • •Experience with rigging, rotating equipment, shaft alignment, torqueing, and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • •Basic knowledge of wind turbine software systems and CMMS systems (e.g., GE Toolbox and Wind SCADA, Maximo).
  • •Ability to climb (including ladders exceeding 260 feet), lift heavy items (over 50 pounds), meet attendance requirements, and travel to other locations; valid non-CDL driver’s license.
