Job Summary

Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft as part of the Hawk Lead-In Fighter program. Diagnose faults and perform inspections on avionic systems and components using authorised technical data, while following BAE Systems and regulatory requirements. Maintain complete maintenance documentation, identify and escalate defects and quality non-conformances, and apply engineering advice and publication amendments as directed at RAAF Base Pearce, WA.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with the Shift Team Leader to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance based on operational demands.
•Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, and maintenance on avionic systems and components across multiple aircraft platforms.
•Carry out all tasks using authorised technical data and in compliance with BAE Systems and regulatory standards (including DASA).
•Maintain accurate and timely maintenance documentation to meet certification and reporting requirements.
•Identify, report, and escalate defects, maintenance issues, and quality non-conformances; apply engineering advice and publication amendments as directed.

Key Requirements

•Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade (Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics) (Mandatory).
•Be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
•Have experience or strong interest working with Defence military aircraft.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to deliver work in a fast-paced team environment.
