Key Responsibilities

  • •Automate, manage, and maintain ClickHouse clusters as the system scales to trillions of events/year
  • •Optimize node- and instance-level performance for various workloads on ClickHouse
  • •Build systems and automation for provisioning and dynamic scaling of large ClickHouse clusters (100+ PB data)
  • •Experiment with latest hardware and cloud options to determine optimal configurations and cost efficiency
  • •Contribute to a bleeding-edge ClickHouse implementation, including query performance tooling and potential innovations such as a query optimizer

Key Requirements

  • •OLAP database experience with ClickHouse or deep internals of OLAP databases
  • •Strong experience automating dynamic provisioning with Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes
  • •Experience with operating at scale and solving complex data storage challenges
  • •Proficiency with the stack: Python, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS, and Zookeeper (or an acceptable alternative)
  • •Willingness to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment and push for optimal hardware configurations for workloads
