Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and improve accounting processes across AP, AR, payroll, collections, reconciliations, and the general ledger.
  • •Lead the monthly close end-to-end, partnering with outsourced bookkeeping to deliver timely and accurate financial statements.
  • •Manage revenue recognition, including ASC 606, contract review, deferred revenue, and allocation for SaaS contracts.
  • •Oversee AP through Ramp (vendor management, approvals, expense reporting, spend controls) and manage AR and collections for predictable cash inflows.
  • •Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and audit-ready workpapers for Maven’s first financial statement audit.

Key Requirements

  • •4–6 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience with strong hands-on accounting fundamentals.
  • •Experience owning or significantly contributing to the monthly close and producing accurate, reliable financial reporting.
  • •Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting processes including reconciliations, AP, AR, payroll, and internal controls.
  • •Experience in public accounting, ideally including Big Four audit experience.
  • •SaaS familiarity is a plus, especially ASC 606, deferred revenue, and SaaS business metrics.
