Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Deliver education, counseling, briefings, presentations, and referral resources, including assistance with spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and make available informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars and use virtual/secure electronic counseling modes when authorized.
  • •Coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact, manage duty-to-warn per DoD protocol, and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree + 4 years’ experience or high school diploma + 6 years’ experience may be considered in lieu).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English (bilingual English/Spanish if required by the contract).
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of the certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.
