Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end triage of HIP runtime failures observed in CI, nightly, and release testing pipelines.
  • •Analyze failures across HIP runtime APIs (memory management, streams, events, kernels, graphs, device management) and perform log analysis, repro reduction, and backtrace debugging on Linux and Windows.
  • •Correlate failures across ROCr system runtime, HIP runtime, driver/firmware interfaces, and compiler interactions (hipcc/clang).
  • •Design and maintain automated test frameworks for HIP runtime validation (Catch2-based and custom harnesses) and expand functional, negative, stress, and regression coverage.
  • •Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and develop Python/C++/shell automation for execution, result aggregation, and trend analysis, improving test signal and reducing flakiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles.
  • •Proficiency in C++ with debugging experience (gdb/lldb).
  • •Working knowledge of HIP or CUDA runtime concepts (kernels, streams, memory models, device execution).
  • •Experience with Linux-based development and debugging.
  • •Familiarity with CI systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) and experience writing/maintaining automated tests.
