Job Summary

Advise clients on business case development and project finance for major, net-zero focused programmes, supporting procurement and funding strategies across the programme lifecycle. Contribute to assessing business challenges, defining optimal solutions, and implementing them using tailored processes, tools, and systems. Partner with multidisciplinary teams, deliver excellent client care, present ideas clearly, and help progress business generation within an entrepreneurial advisory environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Support clients in developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies aligned to Net Zero targets.
•Understand factors influencing programme setup, development, and delivery across the programme lifecycle, with emphasis on business case and major infrastructure development using private capital.
•Assess business challenges, develop optimal solutions, and implement them, tailoring established processes, tools, and systems to the specific circumstances.
•Use interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to support adoption and realisation of business outcomes, and present ideas and outputs clearly and concisely.
•Operate within a multi-disciplined team to deliver a holistic advisory service, deliver high-quality work and client care, and progress business generation opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Experience in project finance and/or business case development, ideally with decarbonisation and Net Zero, renewable energy, defence, or water.
•Experience working with the public sector, managing transactions/projects in a public sector delivery setting across multiple sectors and organisations.
•Understanding of UK policy guidance and economic benefit assessment, including social value, community benefits, and low carbon transition.
•Understanding of project finance and how private capital supports infrastructure development for decarbonisation and Net Zero.
•Ability to hold valid security clearance (SC) and be a British National with a UK passport.
