Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, analyze, and eliminate data quality issues for the data processing platform.
  • •Build solutions to reduce recurrence of data quality problems in a proactive way.
  • •Develop offline remediation tooling, checks, and approaches that don’t impact production performance.
  • •Reduce the existing backlog of data quality issues and help define next steps for the team.
  • •Partner with an experienced engineering team to improve data quality across the data ecosystem.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong SQL skills and genuine curiosity about data, with the ability to identify why data is wrong and fix it at scale.
  • •Backend development experience in Kotlin/Java with Spring Boot, including building remediation tooling and checks beyond writing queries.
  • •A data quality and observability mindset (e.g., monitors, data tests, or anomaly detection) focused on prevention.
  • •Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data engineering tooling; familiarity with Beam/Dataflow, Kafka, Snowflake, or Bigtable is a plus.
  • •Fluent English and comfort working autonomously with an unassigned, partly undefined backlog while collaborating with the US team.
