Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct and perform the design of electrical substations, including site layout, equipment arrangement, elevations, busbar arrangements, grounding, lightning protection, and related systems.
  • •Prepare and validate technical specifications for equipment procurement and construction execution.
  • •Select equipment and materials in accordance with industry standards, client requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • •Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and constructibility principles.
  • •Coordinate and supervise design activities with project team members and other disciplines.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 120,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in electrical engineering and licensed with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • •Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical substation design.
  • •Strong knowledge of medium, high and extra-high voltage networks, switchgear, protection, control, and distribution (25 kV to 765 kV).
  • •Excellent interpersonal communication and fluent French (spoken and written).
  • •Good understanding of substation and power plant instrumentation, digitization, and cybersecurity considerations.
