Job Summary

Coordinate and supervise a multi-skilled shift team responsible for pit dewatering and related dewatering infrastructure. Ensure maintenance, construction/relocation work, and equipment operation are performed safely and efficiently, maximizing reliability and uptime. Drive compliance with HSE, statutory requirements, and water quality KPIs, including ZEMA requirements, and deliver accurate shift handovers covering performance and equipment status. Plan work for new projects and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise the dewatering section operations, including pit dewatering pumps, dam pontoon pumps, and flocculation/coagulation areas.
•Ensure statutory compliance and HSE requirements are met and promptly report incidents.
•Oversee safe and efficient maintenance, construction, monitoring, and dewatering equipment operation to maximize reliability and uptime.
•Conduct equipment isolation for safe maintenance and perform timely, documented shift handovers covering KPIs, tasks, and equipment status.
•Manage daily work targets and priorities, maintain housekeeping standards, and support planning for new projects while identifying and addressing safety hazards.

Key Requirements

•Full Grade 12 certificate.
•Minimum Diploma in a Mechanical field (degree is an added advantage).
•Member of EIZ and registered with ERB.
•Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
•Experience in mine dewatering operations or a similar environment.
