Key Responsibilities

  • •Site Visits and Site Inspections on behalf of the Energy Civil & Structural team
  • •Visual inspection of Civil & Structural infrastructure – primarily in HV Substations
  • •Preparing Risk Assessments & Method Statements, including liaison with other disciplines and site owner (e.g.: SAP)
  • •Accompanying others during Site Visits – e.g.: those less familiar with site
  • •Prepare detailed Site Visit Reports – including photography, descriptions, sketches, word document and excel reports

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural engineering
  • •Experience in electricity infrastructure (ideally NG Substations)
  • •Familiarity with construction sites (and, ideally, design)
  • •CSCS/EUSR (or equivalent)
  • •NG Persons (previously National Grid BESC)
