Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and oversee Canada tax compliance, including preparation and remittance of accurate tax computations for statutory reporting (e.g., corporate income tax, GST).
  • •Maintain required documentation supporting tax computations and submissions, including matters related to tax and transfer pricing.
  • •Lead and manage responses to local tax authority queries for audits or assessments, coordinating reviews and submissions aligned to the tax defense strategy.
  • •Monitor tax legislation and incentives; identify and explore new local tax planning opportunities and strategies.
  • •Advise business units on the tax impact of structural and strategic changes, including introductions of new taxes such as VAT or other taxes.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree (preferably Business and/or Accounting).
  • •Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Canadian tax in a multinational environment.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • •Preferred: master’s in taxation or CPA/JD with public accounting experience; Big 4 tax experience is a plus.
