Job Summary

Serve as a lead field engineer for offshore and onshore construction/installation activities, applying engineering expertise to improve McDermott’s field engineering discipline. Act as the main technical point of contact for complex issues, provide engineering solutions and mitigation plans, and prepare guidance and deliverables across tendering, documentation, scheduling, subcontract support, and proposal inputs, ensuring compliance with client specifications and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Review technical project documents after contract award and identify discrepancies or deficiencies in tender method statements.
•Attend bid interviews and participate in global management reviews, ensuring bid inputs are reviewed and approved before submission.
•Prepare technical clarifications/qualifications and support planning by developing project resource plans and schedules for engineering deliverables.
•Lead preparation of installation documentation and offshore/marine inputs including procurement, fabrication materials, and technical bid evaluation inputs.
•Coordinate with internal teams and subcontracting departments by reviewing proposals and technical information, responding to clarifications, and preparing bid summary and diving task plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
•7–9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with major contractors or a consultant.
•At least 2–3 years of operations and field engineering experience.
•Thorough knowledge of Excel spreadsheet with macro commands.
•Experience with MS Project scheduling software and knowledge of AutoCAD.
