Key Responsibilities

  • •Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone.
  • •Analyze traffic signatures and attributes (IP addresses, cookie variations, HTTP headers, JavaScript footprints) to identify malicious vs. good traffic.
  • •Perform DDoS mitigation across OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 by advising customers and using Cloudflare tools (Magic Transit, Network Firewall, WAF, IP reputation lists, packet inspection, blocklisting/allowlisting, rate limiting).
  • •Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to mitigate attacks, recommend mitigation steps, and apply appropriate mitigations.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Product teams to improve products and tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluent English speaker
  • •Minimum 3 years working within a Technical Support team solving technical issues
  • •Fundamental understanding of how the Internet works (OSI Model) and advanced understanding of TCP and UDP
  • •Computer networking fundamentals with experience using iptables and looking glass, plus troubleshooting connectivity, BGP routing, and GRE tunnels
  • •Experience with command-line tools and analysis, including curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, git, and packet capture analysis
