Maintain and repair pump, power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility while using work-order technology (laptops/tablets) to track service intervals, diagnose root causes, and order parts. Troubleshoot failures in-shop and at customer sites, perform preventive maintenance during required travel, and set up/operate equipment with other technicians. Keep paperwork up to date, support training for lower-level technicians, and follow safe job and OSHA-related practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
•Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals; order parts; and diagnose issues.
•When required, travel to customer job sites to perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
•Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
•Maintain daily work-order paperwork/electronic documentation and assist with pick-up/delivery and training as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Ability to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read/understand schematics.
•Superior customer service skills, teamwork, and verbal/written communication.
•EPA 608 certification preferred (obtain within 6–12 months if not already held).
