Job Summary

Lead geotechnical engineering delivery for major projects across the Island of Ireland and beyond, from desk studies and feasibility through ground investigation, interpretation, and final design. •Prepare, check, and review geotechnical deliverables including desk studies, interpretative reports, specifications, construction drawings, and design reports.
•Own technical decisions and contribute to team/client technical review meetings with alternative ideas and concepts.
•Prepare bids and proposals for internal and external clients.
•Lead geotechnical input across project stages from desk study/feasibility through ground investigation and interpretation to final design.
•Mentor junior staff and support personal and professional development.

Key Requirements

•BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering, or BSc/MSc in Geology/Engineering Geology/Earth Science, or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering is desirable.
•Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) or Geologist (CGeol) preferred, or on track to achieve within the next year.
•Strong knowledge of UK and Irish ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
•Well-rounded geotechnical design experience (e.g., earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilisation) with analytical strength and confidence using relevant design software (e.g., Slope/W, Wallap).
•Good knowledge of relevant Eurocodes and British/Irish Standards, including applying CDM Regulations / Safety in Design; clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
