Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing systems and troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues.
  • •Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements, including developing methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
  • •Set up and maintain gauges and ensure processes run on target per the Process Control Plan; respond to SPC alarms to bring processes back into control.
  • •Execute planned process experiments, collect and analyze data, and report experimental results; collect data on daily tool and product performance.
  • •Develop and update internal documentation (drawings, standard operating procedures, process specifications) and train production associates; interface with internal teams and supplier representatives as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required, with eligibility through one of the listed experience/education pathways.
  • •Associates degree in a technical discipline.
  • •2+ years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function.
  • •1 year of First Solar technical experience or 6 months of First Solar experience as a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician.
  • •Safety-first mindset with strong English written and oral communication; ability to troubleshoot and solve manufacturing line problems.
