Job Summary

Oversee payroll tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end filings and timely responses to agency correspondence. Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll tax regulations, manage reconciliations and audit support, and help monitor regulatory changes. Partner with Payroll, HR, Accounting, external vendors, and HRIS/IT to maintain system integrations and data accuracy using ADP Smart Compliance; Workday experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations across multi-state operations.
•Manage and review quarterly and annual tax filings, including Forms 941, 940, W-2s, and applicable state/local returns.
•Prepare and review payroll tax reconciliations and partner with Accounting on payroll tax accruals and general ledger reconciliation.
•Manage payroll tax audits, agency notices, and correspondence; resolve tax discrepancies and inquiries.
•Use ADP Smart Compliance and support payroll/HRIS/tax system integrations and enhancements while monitoring regulatory changes and improving processes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of payroll experience with payroll tax management and compliance, including multi-state operations.
•Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
•Experience preparing and reviewing payroll tax filings and reconciliations, including Forms 941, 940, and W-2s.
•Hands-on experience with ADP Smart Compliance; Workday experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
