  • •Policymaker Engagement: Build and maintain a network of policymakers and stakeholders to advocate GEICO’s positions in assigned states.
  • •Regulatory & Legislative Analysis: Review insurance regulatory and legislative proposals and keep business units informed of issues.
  • •Strategic Monitoring & Reporting: Identify regulatory trends and communicate insights to support enterprise-wide decision-making.
  • •Strategic Support: Develop policy positions, strategy, and draft language; prepare for legislative interactions.
  • •Coalition Building: Develop and execute political contribution strategies and coordinate external resources.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred
  • •Minimum 10 years’ relevant government affairs experience with knowledge of insurance regulation or related public policy fields
  • •Proven experience developing and implementing regulatory and legislative strategies
  • •Deep knowledge of U.S. insurance regulatory systems (state insurance departments, NAIC)
  • •Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with collaborative approach
