Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate petroleum product movements in and out of pipeline pump stations, including assessing, quantifying, and quality checking crude oil/refined products and managing storage/custody transfer activities.
  • •Inspect pumps and valves for proper operation on a routine basis.
  • •Ensure accurate quality and quantity measurement and reporting of crude oil according to Plains procedures.
  • •Perform monthly DOT tankage and fire extinguisher inspections and maintain associated records.
  • •Inspect perimeter fencing, locks, and ROW security; ensure routine/DOT compliance maintenance is performed and maintain communications with the Pipeline Control Center.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Pipeline knowledge and experience to manage pump station, pipeline, and lease crude oil shipping responsibilities in safe compliance with government regulations.
  • •Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
  • •Basic math and computer/PC skills, including progressing to calculate fluid flow and perform batch scheduling using basic sampling equipment.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to speak, read, and write English; organized and proficient in record keeping.
