Job Summary

Advise Defence and Energy clients on procuring and funding greener, sustainable programmes to support Net Zero targets. You’ll contribute to business case development and strategic commercial assessment across project lifecycles, shaping “optimal” solutions and influencing stakeholders. Work within a multi-disciplined advisory team, deploy tailored tools and processes, help improve delivery methods, and support bid proposal development. Flexible travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Defence and Energy sector clients on procurement and funding strategies for greener, sustainable outcomes aligned to Net Zero.
•Support business case development and programme set-up, development, and delivery across stages of the project/programme lifecycle.
•Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges and the development and implementation of optimal solutions.
•Engage with and influence clients and stakeholders to successfully implement and realise business outcomes.
•Tailor established processes, tools, and systems to circumstances, improve delivery methods, and help identify business generation opportunities.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Be able to attain UK MoD Security Clearance (British Nationals only need apply).
•Experience developing government Greenbook business cases, including HMT Green Book across all five cases.
•Experience working in Defence and/or public infrastructure, managing transactions or projects in public sector delivery settings.
•Ability to apply economic benefit assessment concepts, including social value, community benefits, and low carbon transition.
•Degree or MBA qualification (or equivalent experience) would be advantageous, plus familiarity with relevant UK policy guidance and departmental governance approvals.
