Job Summary

Senior Engineer on the Migration Services team responsible for architecting, deploying and managing automated, low-downtime data migration services at cloud scale within MongoDB Atlas. You’ll design and build scalable backend solutions, work across cloud providers, mentor teammates, and own feature delivery from ideation through production, collaborating with product, design and engineering across the org.

Key Responsibilities

•Work closely with product, design, and engineers across the organization to collectively build features that our customers love
•Stay up to date on the latest advancements in Cloud computing and software development to bring them into our product
•Solve difficult technical problems in a distributed environment
•Own the planning and delivery of major features from ideation through design and implementation
•Mentor and contribute to the growth of team members

Key Requirements

•5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, primarily focused on backend systems
•Proficient in writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.)
•Comfortable with a modern web application stack (e.g. React, TypeScript, Enzyme)
•Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•Led the launch and maintenance of features in production
