Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies and procedures.
  • •Produce metal parts for industrial machinery, mainly stainless steel, using tools and fabrication processes based on specifications.
  • •Operate a manual engine lathe (including feeds/speeds) and grind parts to size while holding tight tolerances.
  • •Operate and tram a mill; drill and tap holes; use a vertical boring bar and indicate parts to specification.
  • •Measure finished parts using precision instruments and verify tolerances using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
