Job Summary

Own delivery of enhancements and defect fixes for the FX Option Risk Monitoring System during North America hours. Drive end-to-end technical ownership—analysis through post-release validation—while translating business needs into practical solutions with clear trade-offs. Partner with Product Owners, Front Office traders, and quant teams, ensure production resilience/performance/security and observability, and reduce incidents via triage and root-cause fixes. Strengthen engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

•Own delivery of enhancements and defect fixes for the FX Option Risk Monitoring System during North America business hours.
•Take end-to-end technical ownership: analysis, design, build, testing, release readiness, and post-release validation.
•Translate business needs into pragmatic solutions, balancing speed, risk, non-financial reporting, tech debt, and cost trade-offs.
•Ensure production outcomes including resilience, performance, security, and observability (logging/metrics/alerting).
•Reduce incidents through effective triage, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes.

Key Requirements

•Senior, hands-on experience building and supporting Java backend systems in production with clear technical ownership.
•Strong experience with modern Java services (Spring/Spring Boot), REST APIs, and microservices patterns.
•Solid engineering fundamentals including OO design, concurrency, performance tuning, and clean code practices.
•Strong production mindset with operability-by-design, monitoring/alerting/logging, and incident management.
•Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and unit/integration testing disciplines.
