Job Summary

Lead strategic sourcing for newly designed products by initiating and managing RFQs and cost/lead-time requests from internal stakeholders. Drive dual sourcing to ensure supply continuity, analyze cost performance, and resolve quoted cost vs. targets. Partner cross-functionally to define sourcing strategies for NPI/pilot projects, qualify suppliers for critical components, and ensure smooth transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

•Initiate and manage RFQs and lead time / should-cost (cost estimation) requests assigned by internal stakeholders.
•Utilize supplier matrix for quoting; negotiate and award business to suppliers, driving dual sourcing and lead-time mitigation.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies/plans for NPI and pilot projects.
•Qualify suppliers for critical components per inspection requirements; read and interpret BOMs, drawings, and specifications; identify make-vs.-buy opportunities.
•Use software tools to perform cost roll-ups, analyze cost performance, resolve quoted cost discrepancies, and deliver presentations to program executives and CFT stakeholders; support product transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electronics) with at least 6 years of experience in sourcing, program management, and supplier management.
•Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics commodity experience.
•Prior sourcing, negotiation, dual sourcing, and supplier management experience.
•Proficiency with MS Office; Excel is required.
•Ability to read and interpret BOMs; self-starter able to operate independently of day-to-day supervision.
