Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee day-to-day sanitation activities to ensure sanitation employees follow cleaning procedures for production lines and the facility, meeting/exceeding GMP, USDA, and FDA guidelines.
  • •Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe and sanitary environment per specifications and USDA requirements.
  • •Enforce safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FSIS, USDA, and HACCP regulations.
  • •Coordinate with the Sanitation Manager and other departments/shifts to meet or exceed departmental and location goals.
  • •Mentor, coach, and train/cross-train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • •3+ years applicable experience in a food manufacturing environment (poultry experience preferred).
  • •3+ years of leadership experience, including timekeeping knowledge, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • •Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
  • •Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their interactions and potential hazards.
