Key Responsibilities

  • •Deploy, harden, and troubleshoot Windows applications on Windows Server and IIS, including .NET workloads, TLS certificate lifecycle, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.
  • •Administer SQL Server databases across on-prem instances and Amazon RDS, including migrations, performance tuning, and backup and recovery.
  • •Define AWS infrastructure as code in Terraform (modules, remote state, lifecycle management) and help standardize reusable patterns.
  • •Build and maintain deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild, ensuring reviewable and repeatable changes.
  • •Front applications with AWS load balancing and AWS WAF services, instrument observability (dashboards, SLOs, alerts), migrate workloads to AWS, and respond to operational alerts.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS (or equivalent) plus 6-8 years of related experience, including at least 3 years hands-on with AWS.
  • •Hands-on AWS experience across IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, SSM, and CloudTrail, including designing and operating production workloads.
  • •Experience authoring Terraform from scratch (modules, remote state, lifecycle management) and working with reusable infrastructure patterns.
  • •Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, hardening, and troubleshooting Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 and IIS v8.5/v10, including .NET 8 and .NET 9 workloads.
  • •Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and Amazon RDS for SQL Server (performance tuning, backup/recovery, and migrations), plus CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or AWS CodeBuild.
