Key Responsibilities

  • •Own solution architecture for high-performance data pipelines and microservices, including non-functional requirements like resilience, scalability, latency, observability, and security.
  • •Define and drive modernization roadmaps (re-platform, refactor, microservices decomposition) with minimal disruption to live services.
  • •Establish engineering standards for API design, event-driven integration, data modeling, testing strategy, CI/CD, and operational readiness; manage technical debt with measurable outcomes.
  • •Architect, design, and build core services using Java and Spring Boot, including real-time processing with Apache Flink (and/or Apache Beam) where appropriate.
  • •Drive production operational excellence and reliability on GCP, including monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, and cost optimization.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years in software engineering designing and delivering distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
  • •Hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot 3, REST/event-driven services, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), and SQL performance tuning.
  • •Proven system design skills including microservices patterns, async messaging, idempotency, consistency models, caching, rate limiting, and failure handling.
  • •Experience delivering cloud-native solutions, preferably on GCP, with the ability to translate from other clouds.
  • •Strong system reliability and security practices in cloud/Kubernetes, plus Kubernetes and CI/CD/deployment tooling.
