Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret engineering criteria and translate them into coordinated, constructible BIM models, drawings, and schedules.
  • •Perform BIM authoring, technical drafting, model federation, and multidisciplinary coordination using Revit and approved digital delivery platforms.
  • •Develop and maintain Revit templates and parametric mechanical families (shared parameters, view templates, schedules, filters, and project-browser structures).
  • •Conduct clash-detection reviews, record coordination issues, and assist with resolution while maintaining model quality and data integrity.
  • •Support clients and stakeholders through coordination meetings/design reviews; assist with tender documentation, BOQs/quantity take-offs, equipment schedules, and project coordination activities.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Tech. Eng. (Mechanical Engineering) or National Diploma (Mechanical Engineering) (NQF 6+) (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 4+ years’ experience in mechanical building-services design and BIM modelling.
  • •Proficiency in Revit and BIM360, including navigation of parameters, templates, and scheduled deliverables.
  • •Experience in at least two mechanical building-services disciplines (e.g., HVAC, Public Health/Wet Services, Medical Gas Systems, Mechanical Utilities, Fuel Systems, Vertical Transportation, Fire Engineering Services).
  • •Strong portfolio and building-services knowledge; relevant BIM/Revit/Autodesk certification is advantageous and a strong digital literacy/automation interest is expected.
