Lead EWP Plan Services team design support by mentoring designers, performing final plan checks, and coordinating daily plan scheduling. Create accurate, cost-effective framing layouts and material lists using isDesign/isPlan software for complex projects. Collaborate with branch EWP teams, dealers, builders, architects, engineers, and building officials to solve architectural/structural issues, provide software training, and deliver customer support through blueprint interpretation and code-compliant wood construction.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide leadership and guidance to the Plan Services team, including mentoring and reviewing other designers’ work.
•Perform final plan checks of designers under your oversight.
•Coordinate daily plan scheduling and manage multiple projects.
•Use design software to create accurate, economical framing layouts and material lists for complex EWP projects.
•Provide customer and internal support by collaborating with branch EWP teams and delivering software training, including troubleshooting architectural/structural design issues.

Key Requirements

•Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, details) and communicate technical concepts clearly.
•Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of wood construction building code requirements.
